The Teacher Induction: Essential Elements of Instruction (EEI) course is a 54-hour program designed to extend over the course of an entire school year which consists of six full day in-service training experiences interspersed with classroom observations by trained cognitive coaches, and othe assignments.
Day One Topics (July 20): Overview of Essential Elements & Classroom Responsibilities, Active Participation
Day Two Topics (July 21): Anticipatory Set, Motivating Students, Objectives
Day Three Topics (July 22): First Days of School: Classroom Management, Procedures & Routines
Day Four Topics (Sept. 7): Closure, Task Analysis, 4 Part Objective, Bloom's Taxonomy, Discipline in the Christian School
Day Five Topics (Nov. 16): Lesson Design, Retention, The Joy of Teaching
Day Six Topics (Mar. 8): Monitor & Adjust Instruction, Diagnostic-Prescriptive Teaching, Hit the Reset Button
